Watt's Up Games operates Watt's Up — Ebike Speed Lab and is the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we collect and why
- Account data (email address, sign-in identifier, and authentication metadata) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Profile and gameplay data (display name, scores, rounds, top speeds) — to run the global leaderboard. Legal basis: contract performance. Your display name and scores are publicly visible.
- Purchase and entitlement data (what you bought, subscription status, expiry) — to give you the features you paid for. Legal basis: contract performance.
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention, and fixing bugs. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
Who we share data with
- Hosting, database, and authentication providers that run the Game for us.
- Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.
Card details are handled by Paddle and never reach our servers. Affiliate retailers we link to have their own privacy policies.
Retention
We keep account and entitlement data for as long as your account exists and for as long as we need it for legal or accounting purposes. Delete your account and we remove or anonymise your data, including leaderboard entries.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Where the UK/EU GDPR applies you can also complain to your supervisory authority, and we will respond to requests within one month. Data may be processed outside your country by our providers under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security and cookies
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. The Game uses only essential storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your local high scores — no advertising or tracking cookies.
